Neal Casal, with Circles Around the Sun and Chris Robinson Brotherhood, was the guitarist, singer, songwriter, and photographer.

He is best known as a member of the Cardinals backing group of Ryan Adams between 2005 and 2009, with whom he recorded three studio albums.

He was born in Denville, NJ, on November 2, 1968.

Neal Casal Career

The career of Casal started in the early 1990s. His first record deal with zoo entertainment was signed by Casal in 1994.

He signed in 1994 with Zoo Entertainment and released his first solo album in September of that year, Fade Away Diamond Time. In 1996, Buy or Die Records released Casal's second album, Rain, Wind, and Speed.

Casal then released several albums under the banner of Glitterhouse Records. His record, Basement Dreams, was named in 1998 by Mojo magazine as the American Album of the Year. The album was made by Casal.

Casal entered the backing group of Ryan Adams, The Cardinals, in 2005. Casal first displayed his photography that same year.




Casal published another album, No Wish to Reminisce, while with Adams ' group. Adams entered the Chris Robinson Brotherhood while in March 2010. Casal would be releasing his tenth studio album, Sweeten the Distance, during that moment in 2011.

With The Skiffle Players, Casal released his last album in 2018.
