Arun Jaitley Biography
Arun Jaitly was an Indian politician and attorney who served from 2014 to 2019 as the Government of India's Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs. He was a member of the Janata Party of Bharatiya. Jaitly died of kidney-related disease at AIIMS, New Delhi, on August 24, 2019.
From 1957 to 1969 Arun attended St. Xavier's School in Delhi. He later entered Shri Ram College of Commerce where he graduated with a BCom degree in Commerce in 1973. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, in 1997.

In 1982, Jaitley married Sangeeta Jaitley, his daughter. Sangeeta is the daughter of Girdhari Lal Dogra, former Minister of Finance of Jammu and Kashmir.
Arun and his wife had two kids, Sonali Jaitley's sister and Rohan Jaitley's son. Both kids are attorneys.
Arun Jaitly Cause Of Death
Arun died while undergoing therapy at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on August 24, 2019. For several weeks he had been admitted to the hospital. Dr. Aarti Vij, Chairperson of the Media & Protocol Division at AIIMS, verified his death by publishing a press declaration that said
“It is with profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Member of Parliament & Former
Finance Minister, Government of India at 12:07 pm on 24th August, 2019.
Shri Arun Jaitley was admitted in AIIMS, New Delhi on 09/08/2019 and was treated by a multidisciplinary team of senior
Jaitley was subjected to a renal transplant at AIIMS on May 14, 2018. His bariatric surgery was performed in September 2014 to correct the weight he had acquired due to a long-standing diabetic illness.
After his death the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tweeted
“Arun Jaitley Ji was a political giant, towering intellectual and legal luminary. He was an articulate leader who made a lasting contribution to India. His passing away is very saddening. Spoke to his wife Sangeeta Ji as well as son Rohan, and expressed condolences. Om Shanti.
KT Rama Rao, working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) tweeted,
“Extremely saddened to learn about the demise of Former Union Minister Sri Arun Jaitley Ji. Condolences to his family. One of the most well informed & composed union ministers I’ve had the good fortune of interacting many times. Always forthright & ebullient.
