Anne McClain Bio
Anne McClain (Anne Charlotte McClain) is a U.S. lieutenant colonel and NASA astronaut. Army, mechanic. She was the International Space Station flight engineer for Expedition 58/59. As part of Astronaut Group 21, she was chosen by NASA as the youngest astronaut on the NASA list in June 2013.
Anne McClain Education
Anne was attending Spokane's Gonzaga Preparatory School. She entered the U.S. Military Academy later, West Point graduating with a mechanical engineering bachelor's degree. She graduated from Bat University with a master's degree in aerospace engineering in 2004. She graduated from Bristol University in 2005 with a Master's degree in International Relations. A Marshall Scholarship finished both master's degrees.

Anne McClain Son
Anne is the mother to the son of Summer, who when they got married was a year older. She introduced the kid to the official NASA portrait meeting in August 2017, but after complaints from Worden they were removed from NASA's official portraits.
In 2018, McClain asked a judge to grant her child's shared parenting rights, saying, "She was there for her first steps and first words," and they had "a very healthy and deep parenting relationship."
Anne McClain Career
In 2002, McClain was commissioned as an army officer, following her studies that qualified her as a helicopter pilot for the Bell OH-58 Kiowa Warrior. She was deployed to the Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii, 2nd Battalion, 6th Cavalry Regiment.
She rose through the ranks, starting with an Air Traffic Control Platoon Leader, Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Platoon Leader, to Detachment Commander.
During the 15-month deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, she flew 800 hours and 216 fighting missions after being deployed to the Gulf.
In 2009, after participating in the Aviation Captain's Career Course, she was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 14th Aviation Regiment at Fort Rucker as the battalion operations officer and OH-58D instructor.
She was named Commander of C Troop, 1st Battalion, 14th Aviation Regiment, in the May 2010 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, responsible for original entrance training, instructor pilot training, and maintenance test pilot training. She finished the 2011 and 2012 Command and General Staff College and the 2011 and 2012 fixed-wing multiengine qualifying classes.

In 2014, McClain married Summer Worden, but they have divided since then. Summer is a former Air Force intelligence officer and Filly Intelligence LLC's founder and chief executive. After accessing her bank account from space, Summer accuses McClain of identity robbery. After learning that McClain had accessed her account, she lodged a complaint about identity robbery with the Federal Trade Commission. Her family also lodged a complaint with the Inspector General's Office of NASA, accusing McClain of incorrect access to financial records. There were no indications, however, that somebody took or removed cash from the account.
